I believe many of us have faced or are facing some circumstances in life that have caused fear in our lives. Sometimes, we face situations like this when we are lovingly obedient to Christ. We make moral and ethical choices that may have consequences or push back from the prevailing culture. For instance, some of the people we know may not like the fact that you will not participate in some of the activities with which they are involved because it does not honor God and His Word. Or you may be in a work environment where the culture is to do the least as possible just to get by and you are willing to give a good days work to honor Christ. Some of your co-workers may make life difficult for you. Let’s change the scenario just a bit. You are in a situation in which living for Christ may produce serious push back and/or hard persecution. It could be a situation in which we could be overcome by fear. I would like to suggest to you that we all need God given courage to face these challenges so we can remain loyal to the Lord Jesus Christ.
