“The Pandemic We All Face!” Mark 2:13-17
Series: Sunday Morning Worship Service
Topic: Grace, Righteousness, Salvation, Sin
Book: Mark

The Scripture says that the root of all sin is pride. The Bible also says that all have sinned and fall short (Rom. 3:23). Because Adam rebelled against God in the Garden of Eden, we are all born with a terminal disease called sin. Since the fall, there is not one human being who was exempt from sin, except the Lord Jesus Christ. So, whether we realize it or not, we all have a problem that we alone cannot solve.
There is another issue that we face in religion and in culture. We tend to categorize sin and or redefine it. We make our own mortal and venial sins and think that God will not be angry over the “lesser” sins. If that isn’t bad enough, we will eventually redefine what the Bible calls sin and rationalize it, thinking it is ok.
In this passage, Mark gives us insights into this universal problem and God’s solution.
