When we talk about the kingdom of God, our thoughts usually go to the Second Coming of Christ. However, it means much more than that for born-again believers here at this present time. Jesus makes it very plain in His teachings that the kingdom of God is the rule of Christ in the human heart. One aspect of God’s kingdom here on earth is its spread, one heart at a time.
Jesus also makes the point that evangelism, winning hearts for Jesus Christ, will be a blessing, but not necessarily without challenges. There will be difficult, stormy times that will test and strengthen our faith if we remain obedient to Christ.
