Many times, when I teach, preach, and write about God, I will say that God is awesome! When I use the word ‘awesome,’ I strongly imply that no one is more awesome than God. At the same time, we need to recognize that God is sovereign and works in ways that can be confusing to us.
On this second Sunday of Advent, I want to look at God’s interaction with a young peasant teenager named Mary, who lived in Nazareth. This is a remarkable account because, even amid Mary’s confusion, she yields to God’s will.
