“Surviving the Storms of Life!” Mark 6:45-56

We all know that life can be harsh at times. There will be turbulent times in our lives that may seem insurmountable. In systems studies, Pastors and theologians call this “hitting a wall.”

There are times in our lives when God allows us to face problems and challenges that seem insurmountable. He allows them because they test our faith and trust in Him. It has been well said that our true character is revealed during difficult times. We will either pass or fail the test.

When believers ignore Christ and think they know how to handle the storm, they always make matters worse and fail the test.  We try to go around the wall, dig under it, climb over it, or run away from it, making even more of a mess and learning that our faith is in ourselves rather than in Christ.

So, how do we survive the storm and get through it in a way that honors God and glorifies Christ? This passage in Mark gives us great insights about surviving the storm.
