“Know Jesus’ Power and Authority!” Mark 5:21-43
The gospels contain some of Jesus’ miracles. We may read these accounts without asking a key question: “What is the teaching Jesus intended for the original observers, and what is the application of this miracle for us today?” I believe that Jesus’ miracles are recorded for us to point us to His love, compassion, holiness, His humanity and deity, and His power and authority as Lord and Savior.
In today’s passage, we will look into the miracle of raising Jesus’ daughter from the dead and the healing of the woman who had been bleeding for twelve years.
True biblical faith means trusting Christ with our hearts, minds, and will. We understand that in and of ourselves, we are inadequate, but Christ is able!
