Since the rebellion of Lucifer, a.k.a Satan, there has been and still is spiritual warfare. Too many professing believers ignore this reality. When we ignore this reality, we severely weaken our testimony for Christ. We need to remember that Satan and his cronies want to sideline a born-again believer so they will not be effective for the kingdom of God.
Don’t forget that Satan and his demons tried very hard to get Jesus to fail and sin. Make no mistake, Satan is just as determined to try to discourage us from walking with Christ.
In this passage, we learn something about Jesus’ power over the demonic world. Satan was defeated at the cross of Christ and the resurrection, but he still will do anything he can to try to discourage us from walking with Christ.
Jesus is all-powerful and sovereign over Satan and his demons!
