Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Mark wrote the gospel using snapshots of Jesus earthly ministry. They are brief and to the point. Mark wrote to share the good news with the Romans. The main theme of Mark’s gospel is Jesus Christ, the Servant. The key verse of the book seems to be Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
