“God Hates Pride!” Isaiah 10-23

There is nothing wrong with taking pride in personal accomplishments or the accomplishments of loved ones and/or friends. The question, then, is when does pride become sin? Generally speaking, pride becomes sinful when we take God out of the equation and take all the credit for an accomplishment, forgetting that God is the one who provides the talents, time, and opportunities to accomplish our goals. So we fail to thank God and give Him the glory. In short, we become arrogant and full of ourselves.
The Bible is very clear that God hates this kind of arrogant pride. This type of pride always leads to grave sin. We also need to know that God gives grace to those who are genuinely humble.
